I feel compelled to speak a bit about Michael Jackson and about the once removed connection that we have to him. If you’re looking for juicy or gossipy tidbits look to the tabloids. That’s not what we’re about. Instead this is a small and narrow insight into this great performer’s life through the eyes of one of our closest friends.

Basically, one of our oldest and closest friends (our families are actually friends too) is best friends with one of Michael Jackson’s closest relatives. When I say “closest relatives” it’s no small thing as Michael had almost no family members that he had been close too. This family member of Michael Jackson actually lives with our friends family as I write this. I will keep both our friend’s name and the Jackson that we’re talking about anonymous as it’s the right thing to do.

Since Michael Jackson’s death family is coming out now all over the place and you’d think that they were the original close knit family. I can assure you that’s not the case. In fact, when things got really rough for Michael we are told that his family member that we speak of was really one of if not the only family members, or human beings for that matter, that Michael trusted. This person must really be of incredible character and that’s quite a compliment to him.

Speaking of his “friends”: Michael had no good friends. He had people that he loved, sure. But he had no normal functioning trusting relationships like any of us enjoy and take for granted. That’s why it’s amazing to me to see all the interviews and press about all these people who claim to be his great friends and have these “special bonds”. Special bonds they might have had… for Michael. I can’t even imagine the despondent loneliness that Michael dealt with every day. My heart breaks for him, actually. A story that really drives this point home was the first time our good friend every met Michael Jackson. It was in his home at Neverland and the “family member” introduced them to each other. Our good friend was later told that after he left Neverland, Michael started to break down crying, telling his family member that he’s never had one good friend like that in his life. Very sad. Also very pathetic seeing all those people, many of them huge stars, that talk about Michael as if he was family. All attention seekers in my opinion.

Speaking of Michael’s Kids: We are told that Michael was a very involved and loving father–as witnessed first hand in Michael’s home. Everyone wonders if his fatherhood was just a publicity stunt etc. It wasn’t.

Speaking of Michael’s legal woes: From what we were told about Michael I have little doubt in my mind that he was innocent of all the child molestation charges. Years ago I was totally convinced he was guilty but knowing what I know now about him I was not shocked in the least when a former accuser came out recently and admitted it was all a farce.

About his appearance: I have no explanation about his plastic surgery but I can say 100% for sure that his skin whitening was a medical condition and not a chemical process that he underwent trying to be white. It is a hereditary condition I guess because it’s something that is happening in at least one other family member to a much less extent.

I hope this small little bit gives insight into Michael Jackson, the real person. More than anything for those reading this I hope it gives you a tiny thing that helps you cut through the crap that’s surrounding him posthumously this past while.

To Michael’s family member, we offer you our deepest sympathy and condolences. He was blessed beyond measure to have you in his life. We wish you all the best!
